I love this time of the year. Spring is on the way and so is baseball season.
This can also be a tough time for single or divorced moms who aren’t quite sure what they need to do to get their future all-stars ready for the season.
I have compiled a short list to help you through.
-
Ask the coach what equipment is needed if any.
-
Make sure you get a glove that fits their hand. Bigger is not always better.
-
When buying equipment getting the proper size is critical, Dick’s Sporting Goods has a great online buyer’s guide for just about every sport you can think of. www.dickssportinggoods.com Search (Buyer’s Guides)
-
Make sure they are ready for practice and please show up on time most leagues are short on fields and practice time is limited.
-
Don’t forget to make it Fun.
Here’s to the beginning of a great season.
God Bless,
Darrell

I just found your blog this morning and appreciate the support you are giving moms. I invite you to visit the blog I have just started as a sports mom. My husband and I own a baseball training academy and we have been working for the past few weeks to get my blog up and running, so it’s just in the beginning stages. But I have a post of an article we sent to our mailing list that might interest you. My son’s coach scheduled a trip for spring break that has my son out of state on Easter. I received many passionate responses, many from Christians who helped me see different solutions to the dilemma we faced. I am in the process of entering some comments I received.
Thank you for your efforts to support sports families.
Laura,
Thanks for the comment. I am also just getting started. But I love the opportunity to use this platform to help who ever I can. I will be checking out your blog.
God Bless
